Stained Glass Workshops and booking info

Immersing yourself into creativity is the ultimate self care strategy, so is learning new things. Northern Rivers Stained Glass aims to grow glass creativity in the community. Beginner, intermediate and refresher classes will be held throughout the year in two different structures:

– A six week learning block – two hours each week on a set day in the evening, join a small group of six people max to design and create a stained glass project. 12 hours $300 inclusive of all materials.

– A weekend intensive – 6 hours each day over two days with up to eight people max to design and create a stained glass project. 12 hours $265 inclusive of all materials

The creative projects will vary with workshops either utilising Lead Came traditional style and Tiffany Technique copper foil style. Each workshop will be designed for the finished products to be either a square, rectangle or round window, mirrors or 3D objects like jewellery boxes or plant holders.

Skills and techniques will vary based on the style you are learning but includes: design concepts for lead and/or copper foil, glass types, scoring and snapping glass, cutting lead, soldering for lead and soldering for copper foil, copper foil method, strengthening through design and technique, finishing projects – putty, pinta, polish projects.
